I have a major girl crush on Karin Dreijer, one half of the brother/sister duo from the Swedish band “The Knife.” She recently released her own solo album under the moniker “Fever Ray” which is unlike anything I’ve ever heard. She’s totally awesome. Join us as we take a musical journey through her career from alt-rock band “Honey is Cool” to her collaboration with Royksopp.

It’s funny how songs about the days of the week all follow similar themes.  Nobody likes Mondays, and the weekend is all about the party.  The solution? Four-Day Workweeks, of course.

British band The xx is gaining so much buzz that I’m surprised that it’s not a current trending topic on Twitter. The xx draws its sound from such a diverse pool of artists that people have trouble placing the band into a cookie-cutter genre.
